Overnight Back Country Walk and Wade Trip:
Overnight riverside camp trip, one night camping and two days guided fishing on a back country river. Trip includes lunch and dinner the first day, and breakfast and lunch the second day. All camping equipment provided except for sleeping bags and sleeping pads.

All of our back country fishing trips are very scenic and allow great opportunities to see wildlife and view the breathtaking scenery.

Location and Fishing Information

Fly Fishing Fernie And The Elk Valley BC - Fernie and the Elk Valley are situated in the southeast corner of British Columbia in a area known as the East Kootenays. Fernie is approximately 58kms from the Montana border to the south and 40kms from Alberta to the east.

Fernie
The town of Fernie, is a small picturesque community, surrounded by mountains on all sides. The elevation of the town is 3300 ft and the surrounding mountains peaks reach up to 9300 ft. With a population of only 5000, Fernie still has a lot to offer in the way of hotels, restaurants and shops. Besides having the world famous Elk river flowing through it, Fernie is also world famous for its ski resort. We have people from all over the globe coming to ski Fernie's famous powder. The surrounding mountains also have numerous mountain biking and hiking trails.
Elk River
The fly fishing in the Elk Valley is second to none, we have very healthy populations of Westslope Cutthroat trout, Rainbow trout, and huge Bulltrout. Our rivers all have very diverse insect populations making them a dry fly fishermans dream come true. All of our rivers a crstal clear come July, and fish very well right up to November.

Lodge 1 (First photo above)
A full day guided fly fishing trip for two with one night accommodation in a standard room with two double beds,coffee maker, and fridge.( Hotel located at the Fernie Alpine Resort)

Lodge 2 (Second and third photo above)
The Lodge is located 10km outside of Fernie by a picturesque mountain lake. It is set on 7000 acres in its own valley, the ultimate mountain hideaway. Travel time is only 20 minutes from Highway #3 as you approach Fernie. The road climbs through an amazing old growth cedar forest, and arrives at the lodges overlooking the lake with spectacular mountain views. The lodges offer double occupancy rooms with ensuite for two lodges ( Red Eagle & Cedar Lodges) and shared bathrooms in the Bear Lodge. The Solstice Spa located at the Lodge offers massages and body treatments daily. Package includes a full day guided fly fishing trip for two, all meals - hearty and healthy breakfast, lunch ,and a three course gourmet dinner.

A full day guided fly fishing trip for two, hotel room with two queen beds. Hotel amenities: outdoor hot tubs, swimming pool, complete spa service, restaurant & sports bar. (Hotel located on the bank of the Elk river just outside of town)
