Fishing at the Lodge starts right from our docks. Throughout the season, from May to October, fishing is excellent for walleye, Northern Pike, Bass and there is the ever elusive Muskie for the experienced, patient fisherman. Five fishing lakes, Gun Lake, Little Sand Lake, Big Sand Lake, Rough Rock Lake and Pistol Lake, on the Winnipeg River System can be reached by boat without portaging.
Our guides are experienced and well qualified to make your fishing trip a memorable success. Who can forget the famous shore lunches, expertly prepared by your guide. A feast of fresh walleye with all the trimmings is well worth telling your friends about.
Housekeeping Guests
Spacious kitchens are completely equipped with electric refrigerator, microwave, propane or electric stove, dishes, pots and pans and kitchen utensils. Each cottage also has a propane BBQ in the screened porch for those delicious summer BBQ's. All linens supplied (bedding, towels, tea towels).
American Plan Guests
Have the comforts of our housekeeping cottages to relax and enjoy evening snacks. Daily maid service is provided. Delicious home cooked meals (shore lunch when fishing) are served in the Lodge dining room. The expanded lounge area in the main lodge provides the ideal setting to meet the other guests, exchange fishing and hunting tales or play a game of pool. We also have satellite TV, VCR/DVD movies and video games.

Roger Lake features some of the finest small mouth bass fishing found in Northwestern Ontario. In addition to smallies, Roger Lake also hosts tremendous Walleye and Northern Pike.
The cabin at Maynard Lake is newly remodeled, with big windows that overlook the sparkling waters of the lake. There�s sandy beaches right in front of the cabin and a sheltered cove where you can park your boat out of the wind.
This is the ultimate wilderness hideout for two people.
The dominant species on this lake are walleye and northern pike. The pike are big (our guests have caught 25-pounders) and the walleyes are numerous.

At our Lodge in Minaki you will find a cedar main lodge and 6 cottages all situated along the shoreline to allow a beautiful view of Gun Lake on the Winnipeg River System. Our family operated resort was built 27 years ago by your hosts Pat & Alex.

Fully modern cottages, comfortably furnished, can accommodate 2 to 6 people and as many as 10 to 12 in our large 4 bedroom cottage. All have propane or electric heat, electricity, hot and cold running water, private bathroom with basin, shower, tubs and flush toilet.
