Wilderness Retreat
A unique adventure in Arnhem Land that only few privileged adventurers will ever share. We deal in small groups allowing for a personalized service for 2 to 6 people.
The Experience
We fly you out to our island retreat, where you can meet the local Aboriginal people, get amongst the world�s best fishing and generally relax and chill out at our camp setting in this pristine area of Bremer Island.
Alcohol
We will organize your requirements for beer and wine on prepayment. Banubanu is an alcohol free zone, however the Rirratjingu have agreed to allow consumption in moderation.
Vessel
M.V. Nomad is an 8.5 metre aluminium vessel ideal in its role as a fishing and expedition charter boat in the waters around the Gove Peninsula. She is powered by a very capable, 250 horsepower Yanmar diesel providing a cruising speed of 20 knots. She boasts a full canopy, spacious deck area and comfortable seating that provides for a great fishing experience for up to 8 anglers
Inclusions
Packages include light air charters, transfers, all fishing tackle, ice, bait, meals, permits, camping and sleeping gear.
Weather
The Top End of the Northern Territory has a tropical climate. We have two seasons and these can vary slightly from year to year. The WET season generally runs from December to March with heaviest rainfall in January and February. Temperature is usually in the 30 to 34 degree range with high humidity; 80% to 100%. The DRY season runs from April to November, the temperature range is usually in the 20 to 32 degree range with low humidity, meaning very pleasant days and cool nights.

Approximately one kilometer from the Aboriginal homeland and its airstrip. The camp itself is in the middle of the narrow point of the island and has both the eastern and western coastlines within view and offers a grand outlook out over the neighboring islands.
Saltwater fly, Blue Water or Reef Fishing?
There is a myriad of fish species in the Northern Territory and Gove has the pick of them. Whether you're looking for the adrenalin rush of hooking up a huge blue water fish, or a just has happy dangling a 40lb handline over abundant coral reefs, this is the area for you.

Nomad Charters supplies a boat rod (Penn 320 combo with 50 pound braid) to every person and also has 3 Shimano TLDs for trolling; also 3 Shimano spinning rods
If you wish to bring your own tackle, these are our recommendations:
1 x boat rod and reel loaded with 50 pound braid for bottom bouncing.
1x high speed spinning combo for surface fish, spinning or trolling.
1 x bait caster combo for light fishing off beach.
