The Ultimate Challenge
We'll arm you with a six foot baitcasting setup loaded with 175 yards of 8 lb.-test mono. The fun begins when a large chinook hits and takes off, peeling what little line you have. I quickly crank the boat 180', and chase the big chinook to keep you from being spooled! Up to an hour later if all goes well, it's in the boat. At this point you tell me what I hear so often, I can't stop my hands from shaking!
Book your fishing trip today and enjoy an experience you will never forget! (Halibut trips by request).

Location and Fishing Information
Vancouver Island Trophy Salmon Charters - We are located in Sooke, British Columbia
Sooke is 24 miles west of Victoria on
Vancouver Island. We fish for trophy
chinook salmon on the Juan De Fuca
Straits. The ocean waters are protected
by the Washington coast which blocks off
any deep water ocean swells. Sooke is
an hour drive from either the vehicle
ferries at Sidney, the Victoria Inter-
national Airport and downtown Victoria.
Sooke therefor offers easy and quick
access to trophy salmon fishing when your
time is limited.
We troll
natural baits from downrggers and
use "Islander" fly reels matched
to 7" Fenwick trout rods. You will
not find lighter tackle used for
trophy chinook salmon exceeding 50
pounds. Fishing for chinook salmon
during the summer months is done
very close to shore. At times we are
in less than 30 feet of water. Our
boats are heated and include washroom
facilities, full electronics, all
required safety gear and are well
maintained and clean. We supply all
bait, gear, tackle, coffee/tea, pop
and fish care free. Licences sold
on board.
