Oregon Halibut Fishing

Oregon (OR) — Package: 200273

Package Details and Information:

Halibut trips are 10 to 12 hours in duration (18 and 32 hour trips also avaialble). Boats, on average, travel about 25 to 35 miles offshore. Anglers will fish in over 600 feet of water at times. The Oregon and Washington limit is one halibut per person. In Canadian waters the limit is two halibut.

This fishery is not recommended for kids under the age of 12, due to the strength of these giant flatfish and difficulty of bringing in a huge 70 to 100 pound fish. Occasionally you will also pick up Lingcod, Black Cod, and Chinook while fishing halibut. Some of out captains will fish for other species if everyone catches their limit of halibut early.

Offshore Halibut trips are very limited; they are on a set quota and fill early in the year. Contact us for season dates and details or to tenitivly resurve seats.

A very fun and exciting trip that will provide plenty of quality meat for many meals to come.

"The first day I landed a 15 lb. plus fish that just sent adrenaline through me. He jumped numerous times and fought hard. The Guides put us over fish every day. To fish over fish every day, cast after cast is an exercise in learning the drifts and changing flies constantly is how you find the fly that brings one up. When he comes up the thrill of the take is unbelievable."
