Spey Casting Fishing School

We are offering 2 different spey casting and Atlantic Salmon fishing schools for 2007.  The first is a beginners program taught by Simon Gawesworth, the world's most well-respected instructor and authority on spey casting.

The June 1-6 school is for beginners and offers 2 full days of instrcuction on the St. Jean River and 4 days of guided Atlantic Salmon fishing on the York, Dartmouth, St. Jean, and Grande rivers.  The angler to instructor ratio will be 3:1  

The June 7-12 school is for those who have some spey casting experience and offers a 1 day refresher course on the St. Jean river and 5 days of guided Atlantic Salmon fishing on the York, Dartmouth, St. Jean, and Grande rivers.  The angler to instructor ratio will be 3:1

All spey casting equipment, including rods, reels, and lines will be provided if necessary.

Early June is when the 20-40 pound salmon enter the Gaspe rivers.

Included in the package:  spey casting instruction, use of ORVIS equipment, guided fishing on prime waters, gourmet meals, comfortable accommodations, license, and local transportation.

We are located 12 hours north of Boston by car and can be accessed by car, train, and plane (commercial or private).

We handle all local transportation.
This is an opportunity to learn or fine-tune spey casting while fishing over very large Atlantic Salmon in gin-clear waters.  Our instruction is on the world-renowned St. Jean river and the fishing is done on the York, Dartmouth, St. Jean, and Grande rivers.

Guests can choose between the main lodge which sleeps 12 or newly constructed private cabins.

The main lodge has a spacious living room and an oversized screen porch which are the perfect gathering places.
