Location and Fishing Information
Fishing Yukon Territory - Fishing Yukon Territory, 4 Days 4 Nights
Upon arrival in Whitehorse, the float dock on Schwatka Lake is about 10 minutes away by taxi. After a short orientation with the pilot at Alpine Aviation, youre on your way. Large enough to be visible on most maps, Wolf Lake is located 110 air miles directly east of Whitehorse. A 45 minute breathtaking flight over several mountain ranges and plateaus gives our guests an idea of just how secluded an area we are in. Most guests arrive in Whitehorse around 4:30 on the afternoon Air Canada flight, which means arrival at Wolf Lake Lodge just in time for dinner! Guests depart Wolf Lake about 5:30 on their day of departure, allowing them to spend the night in Whitehorse and get a taste for the history and culture of the Yukon before departing on the early flight the next day.
For guests arriving from the United States, in most cases its possible for you to leave home early in the morning, and still arrive at Wolf Lake in time for dinner, VIA Vancouver.
For our Canadian guests, Air North offers direct Monday/Wednesday/Friday flights from Calgary and Edmonton to Whitehorse, and daily flights from Vancouver.
We fish two lakes and one river for trophy Lake Trout, Northern Pike and Arctic Grayling. The beauty of our fishing options is that all three species can be caught on a fly.
Wolf Lake provides the perfect environment for lake trout. An abundance of food, many shoals and other strucures for spawning along with the crystal clear water results in many trophy trout.
May Lake makes a great day trip on a warm sunny day. The shallow bays in this lake are nothing short of spectacular for Northern Pike fishing.
The Wolf River has been described by some as the best natural Grayling fishery in the World. It can only be experienced to be believed.

Accommodation:
Our accommodations consist of four individual private guest cabins, the main lodge and our screened in gazebo.
Our cabins all have an incredible view of the lake, and provide comfortable, cozy living quarters for up to three people. Each guest cabin has recently been renovated to include hot showers, and washroom facilities. All towels and linens are supplied, and daily housekeeping is provided. For the cool evenings, cabins are insulated and complete with an oil furnace, ensuring a very comfortable stay.
The main lodge is where we prepare and serve all our meals family style. Our kitchen and pantry are open 24 hours for those who crave that extra dessert left over from dinner. The living area is complete with comfy couches, recliners, satellite television that seems to be rarely used, and satellite telephone and email access.
The screened in gazebo has become the meeting room for many of our guests since we built it in 2000. Perhaps it's the Firewater Hot tub in the corner, or maybe it's just the ability to be outside enjoying the sunset, discussing the big one of the day, while enjoying the fresh mountain air!
