Package Details and Information:
Wilderness Fishing Yukon is a service oriented company that gives people the ability to enjoy great fishing in a beautiful setting. Each of our nine lakes has one clean, well maintained cabin on it. Each party gets their lake all to themselves. Clients can enjoy pristine wilderness at their own pace with the people of their choice. Fishing in the land of the midnight sun means there is plenty of daylight to fish to your hearts content. When is the last time you heard of a place where there are more moose, loons, eagles, bears, and otters than people? The fact is, places like the Yukon are a rarity the world over. The Yukon is a place where the rocky mountains meet the arctic circle. Vast valleys are fringed by beautiful mountain ranges.
Location and Fishing Information
Fishing The Remote Lakes Of Yukon Territory - Fishing in the remote lakes of Canada's Yukon Territory, the awesome wilderness, remains one of the great adventures in the last frontier. Let us fly you and your friends to one of 9 secluded lakes, 60 to 115 miles north of Whitehorse, in the Yukon River basin where with basic boating and fishing skills you can enjoy some of the best fishing in the world. These picturesque lakes, cold and clear, offer excellent fishing all summer with the peak months being June and July. Most guests catch at least one fish over 20 pounds. Our lakes have produced lake trout up to 50 pounds and Northern Pike up to 45 pounds.
Three of the lakes also have Arctic Grayling up to 4 pounds. All of the lakes have Whitefish and Burbot.
If fly fishing is your passion like it is for us then you will be amazed how many streams and rivers will offer you some awesome fly fishing.
With a rather good knowledge about the fly fishing possibilities in the Yukon and North-east British Columbia its nice to share your experience with others. I am not an expert but just a passionate fly fisherman. Pacific salmon runs attract people, a lot of people, but there are not so many pacific salmon and steelhead in this part of North America and maybe thats one of the reasons why I love the fly-fishing in the Yukon so much. There is hardly any fishing pressure and the fly-fishing is relatively new as well. Most fly fishermen that have fished the Yukon over the years came from abroad anyway. For local people, lake fishing is the most popular way to catch their fish and thats probably why it is so well reviewed in fishing guides and reports. There isnt much information about river fishing available and there is a lot to explore and discover. The opportunity of fishing unknown waters is what I like very much and The Yukon offers the fishermen hundreds of wonderful streams, brooks, and rivers that are still peaceful and unspoiled.
Testimonials:
"A first class operation from meeting our flight on arrival until putting us back on the jet for home. Everything runs on time!" Glen Sudmeier, California
My 12th year...we caught more big fish. See you next year. Mike Karbousky, Colorado
"Thanks for everything...great flying...cozy cabin, reliable equipment...super fishing." John & Micky Geyer, Colorado

The Outpost camps can accommodate parties of from two to 12. There is only one camp per lake and only one party in a camp at any time. (We Do Not Mix Parties: i.e.: if we book a two man party into an eight man camp they still get the whole camp to themselves). Lyn lake has a two man camp, Ken and 10 Mile lakes have four man camps. Frank, Mandanna & Drury lakes have eight man camps and Claire lake has a 12 man camp. (see Rates & Reservations for minimum size party for each camp) Deep 14' boats are supplied based on two fishermen per boat. Only One Party Per Camp Only One Camp Per Lake. The camp is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
Coghlan Lake Lodge is a three bedroom house in the wilderness. The downstairs is log with a rustic living room area plus dining and kitchen areas. The frame upper floor has the three bedrooms and an indoor bathroom. Enjoy comfortable living in a fantastic setting.
The lodge is most comfortable with six people or three couples as there are three bedrooms with two beds each, but it is possible to sleep three couples plus up to six children.
The camp at Teehnah Lake is the perfect mix of character and comfort. The main cabin has a double bed in a separate room and a common eating area with a large table. The bunkhouse is a rectangular building split in half to make two bedrooms. Each room has a double bed and room for two more in bunks. The third building contains a tack room and a shower room for hot showers!
All the camps are housekeeping and the lakes are small enough so that guides are unnecessary, therefore you may enjoy the wilderness unrestricted by formal meal hours or the restraints of a guide. Our forest-surrounded lakes are located in scenic settings, where under the 24 hours of daylight in early summer, avid fisherman can cast or troll to his heart's content or just relax and enjoy nature. There are bald eagles, loons, ravens, arctic terns, beavers, lynx, mink, marten, caribou, moose and bear to watch and photograph in their natural setting.

"My son and I can't wait for a return trip! Chasing stripers on a fly rod is heart-thumping when the Powell stripers are busting bait on top. There is something magical about flyfishing with Bill at beautiful Lake Powell."
