With the hunting habits of a trout, these holographic gold and red fish will, hold in water with structure such as sunken logs and undercut banks. Dorado will also take surface flies, Bombers and Poppers are very effective. The strike of a big Dorado is an experience difficult to forget; get ready to see great aerobatics and lots of backing.

Fully equipped skiffs will put you in minutes over Golden Salmon (freshwater Dorado) on the many side channels of the mighty Paran� river. Experienced guides will show you how to catch these beautiful fish either on dry or wet flies.

Argentina, Dorado Fly Fishing - We fish, in the northeastern part of Argentina, the Paran� River:  the second largest river in the world after the Amazon. The fishing area is about 450 miles from Buenos Aires city which is one hour and a half by flight.

Most of the fishing is done on stream like channels that run through the delta along this giant river. This subtropical area teems with wildlife, hundreds of birds species populate the lush vegetation along the streams we fish. At times bands of howling monkeys watch with curiosity.

The climate is subtropical with temperatures ranging from 75�F to 88�F in summer and 48�F to 68�F during the winter. In the summer it can be quite warm, a light breeze is always present which makes it very comfortable. No waders are needed during the summer months since the water temperature is about 78�F and wet wading is very comfortable.
