Alaska Fishing At It's Best

Alaska Fishing At It's Best

Alaska (AK) — Package: 200857

Package Details and Information:

We fish the pristine waters of Cook Inlet out of Deep Creek - Ninilchik for halibut from May through July.  Your Alaska halibut fishing charter begins on the beach at Deep Creek where we launch for a short ride to the best fishing holes in Alaska.  At Deep Creek, you will be launched by a tractor into the surf of Cook Inlet.  This is an unique experience you will remember for years.  We fish according to the tides therefore the time of departure changes each day.  Each trip is 6-8 hrs.  This allows you to fish through a full tide.  We fish only one group each day, unlike many others who do "doubles".  We want to give your group our full attention, time and energy.  We don't want you to feel rushed or hurried along.  This is your day to enjoy!

During May, June and July there are two runs of saltwater salmon.  This first run of King Salmon come in the first part of May and run  through the first week in June.  On an average most anglers catch King Salmon in the 15-45 lbs.  Occasionally, you can catch a 60 pounder. The first of July the second run of King Salmon come and although this run is smaller the fish are bigger.  The average King Salmon weighs 35-60 with an occasional salmon going in the 80 lb. class.   We troll for salmon along the beach.  We are usually no more that 1 mile from shore.  The Alaskan Salmon you will have biting are bright chrome and feisty.  You can't get them any fresher.

"I can't tell ya the power these fish have! They run and they hold. Awesome! I had a blast fishing this system and can't wait to return and try it again. Kim, you were a great host and I thank you for some great memories. Fishing Channels on Manitoba's Red River has been on my "to do" list for a while now."
