Walk and Wade Fishing Trips

Walk and Wade Fishing Trips

Canada, Alberta — Package: 300730

Package Details and Information:

Many fishers who arrive in Calgary set their sights on the pristine rivers and streams to the west. Wading one these spectacular rivers along the east slope of the Rocky Mountains is an experience dry fly enthusiasts won't want to pass up. Catch and release regulations have resulted in a population of cutthroat trout that are increasing in size and number. Large, aggressive bull trout are also common in many of these streams as well.

This package will put you into some of the most spectacular water you will ever fish. Majestic vistas and great fishing are the order of the day. We begin with an early morning, two hour drive from Calgary through Alberta's foothills to a breathtaking, crystal clear, mountain river teaming with cutthroat trout.

Dry flies such as a Royal Wulff, a Stimulator, PMD, or an Adams with the addition of a Beadhead Prince Nymph or Copper John dropper are definitely a recipe for success.

After a break to eat lunch and recharge, we may choose to stay put or move on to another section of water.

We provide transportation, fly fishing gear, snacks, meals, and non-alcoholic beverages.

We often fish till sunset and then begin the trek back home. Arriving back in Calgary near midnight is common on these outings.

This package is for one or two fishers.

"Just wanted to say thanks again for the great Striper trip my son Chris and I had with you guys. In the middle of winter and 45 degrees I would not of imagined catching a dozen stripers between 7 and 10lbs. Chris and I talked later and agreed that without Bill, we would have caught zero fish. See you next time."
